For Publishers
Juno is a platform for publishers to develop and deploy online textbooks, workbooks, tests, quizzes, tutorials, and videos for K-12, college, professional training and certification. Just enter your content, and Juno makes it interactive with automatic grading (no programming required). Teachers and schools pay you directly to use your content (or teachers share their own content for free).

Juno is a web application, not a file sharing site or e-book reader. Everything runs on our servers, so you do not need to download or install anything. Juno was launched recently, so we are actively seeking content from professional publishers.

This summer we are also hiring teachers as freelance curriculum writers. See details.

Interactive Textbooks
To create an interactive textbook, upload your text, images, audio, and videos, or link to media on your own servers. Organize your textbook into chapters and sections.

But Juno lets you do much more than a simple e-book: Add review questions to ensure students are actually learning! Juno gives students feedback after each question, and it repeats the questions they missed till they master it. This data is reported to teachers, so they know if students are doing their reading, and how much they are comprehending. Also you may bundle tests with your textbook.

You may update your content anytime, and it automatically updates for all your customers, so your content is never out of date. And you may optionally let teachers customize their own copies of your textbook or tests, or restrict it to prevent any modification.

Tests, Quizzes & Workbooks
Create questions as multiple choice, multiple answer, true-false, matching, sorting, and write-in. Teachers may grade open-ended questions manually, or for close-ended questions you can set answer keys for automatic grading, optionally with alternate answers and misspellings. For math problems and other notation that cannot be typed, students can print those worksheets to write out their work.

Juno can automatically import most text documents, so it's easy to convert your old printed materials. Questions and answers can be randomized automatically. For learning exercises, it gives students feedback after each question, and it repeats the questions they missed till they master it.

Mobile
Juno automatically adapts your content for iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, and computers with Safari, Chrome, or Firefox, (Kindle & Android coming later) — so students can work anywhere without lugging heavy backpacks. (Schools can use iPods as a much cheaper alternative to computers, so they can afford one for every student.) Also everything is printable, for situations when computers are not available.

EdStore
The Juno EdStore is like an app store, where teachers shop for educational content. But unlike an app store, customers buy direct from you, not through us. Or you may give away free content. Teachers browse by subject and keywords, then read your description and go to your website to pay. We do not screen content, but teachers may post reviews.

Software Integration
Juno can report students' scores to any compatible gradebook, learning management system, or other software, so the teachers don't need to do data entry!

Currently the only compatible gradebook is our own, JupiterGrades. However, we made our API free for other software developers, so more will be coming.

Or if you have your own courseware, you may use our free API to report scores to any compatible gradebook. That also lets you list your application in the Juno EdStore, and provides a single-sign-on (SSO), so schools have a central location for all content from all publishers.

See Help for technical details.

Account Management
Juno lets you limit the number of students for a school license, e.g. so no more than 200 students can use a textbook at a time. You may also set expiration dates for licenses. Juno handles all the usernames and passwords for teachers and students.

Free!
It's completely free to publish content or integrate your own courseware. You get the benefit of advertising in the EdStore and integrating with any compatible grading system, at no charge!
